Scenario.

After creating your website pages and well optimized, you'll need to upload them to your host server [ site publishing].

From there everyone can type your domain name or domain ip address into their browser, and send a request to your host site. So they can view and read or download the contents of your website.

Now, you'll learn how to upload your site pages to your hosting server, the tool you'll need and how to use it.

Standalone FTP Tool.

Now, to upload your web pages to your host site, you'll need an uploading program, called FTP to be installed on your Computer.

FileZilla is a great example. It's a freeware, and I recommend using it because I use It.

The FileZilla FTP program will enable you access your remote server, as part of your local computer. You can easily upload your entire website on to your remote site. However, you'll need to provide a username and a password of your remote server. [Internet access required]

FTP will need this information before it will be able to access a FTP Site (remote site). Ask your hosting provider, they must give you this by signing up with them.

Build-In FTP Tool.

Some Editors like Adobe Dreamweaver has already a build-In FTP tool for an easy uploading of web pages on to host servers. You'll still need a username and password from your hosting provider to enable you Log on to the control panel. [Internet access required]

Most Browsers has also build-In ftp tool. All you'll need to do, is to, type in the URL, For example, ftp://yourDomainName.com. You'll be prompt to enter user name and password as usual. And if done your remote site will be opened in your front. [Internet access required]
